What is common to all these stories are the ironic endings — some creating suspense or humor and others driving a point while still others create a vast range of emotions. I'm reminded of a variety of other story producers: O'Henry, Thurber, Poe, Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Sterling. A good twist of fate is as subtly flavorful to the tale as a twist of lemon to a dry martini.
